Jazzoo grew out of a side-project by Oozak founder Geoffrey Leventham. While on the road playing retro-pop covers (and helping the Oozak EP sell even more), Geoffrey visited jazz clubs across the country. Much to the surprise and enjoyment of audiences, he would take the stage and jam with the local bands, armed only with his trusty kazoo.

Jazzoo was not a successful release; the lack of original material, combined with the dubious quality of some of the recordings (Oozak changed producers after this album) sent the album straight to the "Novelty/Discount" section of most stores.
